(Mission opportunity for students that are current freshmen-juniors)
Wake has the incredible opportunity to continue a partnership with Cran-Hill, serving their campers with special needs. Cran-Hill hosts a special needs camp a few weeks each summer for teens and adults with autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays.
Our team assists the staff at Cran-Hill by going in and spending the entire week with the campers. Their time together is spent hearing from God’s Word, lake front activities, yard games, horseback riding, a talent show and so many more moments together that create memories for the campers that last a lifetime! Our team not only has the opportunity to impact the campers around them, but are often impacted themselves.
Student Staff member, Troy Director Gar Hoover will be leading this trip.
Cost is $300. This price includes travel, lodging, meals, building and training materials. Starting last year, and continuing this year, part of the students cost for the trip goes towards a scholarship for Woodside families and their special needs student/adult in attending this week at Cran-Hill with us as a camper! This cost does not include money for personal expenses.
Students who want to be a part of the Cran-Hill team must complete an application online, by clicking the register button to the left, and include a mandatory, non-refundable $100 deposit which will be applied to the trip. If accepted on the trip, group training meetings will take place at the Troy Campus this spring.
The Deadline for applications/deposits is Thursday, March 8th.
