Wake | Houston Missions Trip

(Mission opportunity for all high school students)

A Wake team of students and leaders will be assisting in the relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX. On August 26, Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, TX as a Category 4 hurricane leaving catastrophic flooding and destruction of homes. Many months later families are still struggling to clean up and rebuild.

We will be flying into Houston where we will stay and partner with Church 1:37 (14050 Park Dr, Tomball, TX). The team will be working on various projects: assisting with cleaning up, rebuilding, painting and ministering to people still affected from the hurricane.

Jon Dahlke, Lake Orion’s Student/Family Director will be leading this trip along with other Wake leaders.

Cost $800. This price includes airfare, travel while in TX, lodging, meals, building and training materials. This does not include money for personal expenses.

Students who want to be a part of the Houston Hurricane Relief team must complete an application online and include a mandatory, non-refundable $100 deposit which will be applied to the trip. If accepted on the trip, group training meetings will take place at the Troy Campus.
