Our desire at Woodside is to come alongside people during difficult and challenging times. The cross of Jesus Christ calls us to find people in the broken places of life and provide real and practical assistance, education and support. If you are in a place where you need to put the pieces of life back together because of a death, divorce, addiction or life’s circumstances, it is here you will find knowledge that will heal and restore, and the support and compassion of God’s people. After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you feel alone. Often, friends and family want to help you, but don’t know how. That’s the reason for GriefShare. Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives. We understand how you feel because we’ve been in the same place. We will walk with you on the long path through grief toward healing and hope for the future. (Available at Troy, White Lake and Warren)
For all who suffer from hurts, habits and addictions, this is the place for you! The purpose of our Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles.” This experience allows us to “be changed” as we open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God´s grace in solving our lives´ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with Jesus Christ and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power. (Available at Troy, White Lake, Warren and Farmington Hills)
Unless you’ve been there, it’s hard for people to understand the hurt that comes from being separated or divorced. Our groups are designed by people who have gone through a divorce and who have rebuilt their lives through God’s Word, His grace and mercy. In this group, we’ll show you how to deal your hurt through God’s truth and you’ll receive the support and encouragement from people who have been in places perhaps similar to your own. We know that kids are often effected as well and we offer special classes for them as well.
Financial Recovery is a course that promises to help you overcome the financial temptations and challenges you face and help you gain a life of meaning and purpose. The MoneyLife Personal Finance Study contains powerful tools to build a plan, eliminate debt, save and invest. But that’s only the beginning of the journey. This study provides solutions for both the symptoms and the root cause of your financial problems, once and for all. Combining solid biblical teaching, powerful online tools, and hands-on-practical experiences, the MoneyLife Personal Financial Study is a 10-week journey with the potential to change your life, not just your finances.
Our desire is for women to experience freedom in the Lord. Our goal is that women find hope, healing, and restoration in Christ as He sheds light on the dark and painful places of their past. Shelter is a place where women can find true restoration for their hearts, minds and souls as they cultivate an intimate walk with the Lord. Shelter is a Christ-centered support group for women who have been sexually abused or assaulted before the age of 18. All participants will be interviewed prior to acceptance into the group. Only available at our White Lake campus.
