Did you know over 40,000 migrants from North Africa and the Middle East are seeking refuge in Italy today? Many have fled war and political persecution and desperately seek safety and peace. Devastatingly, the seeking hearts of these refugees are met with closed doors, a slumping economy, and few places to lay their head.
The immigrant refuge ministry in Rome exists to meet not only the daily living needs of these refugees but to introduce them to the One who longs to provide rest for their weary souls. The ministry’s drop-in center proclaims the Gospel message to hundreds with Muslim heritage, bringing enduring hope to seemingly hopeless circumstances.
Amos and Ashley Miguel are members of the Woodside Family who’ve been dispatched to Rome under our church leadership. It is because of their heart for the lost and broken that we are able to make a difference in the lives of people who desperately need Jesus.
