Haiti Mission Trip Blog #5

November 9, 2017 by Lexie Schwarze | Ministry Life Impact Ministries

Today we spent another beautiful day in the mountains in the village Of Palto. We visited a small church and had the pleasure of giving water filters to the pastor’s family and two other families. We also had the opportunity to pray with each of them. The pastor’s wife had a compassionate heart that really wanted to bless us with a gift. Instead we asked her to pray for the church in the United States and she was honored to do that. This morning we also were able to share with a woman how to safely treat her water for her five children. Having access to clean water here in Haiti truly is life giving.

This afternoon we went back to Pastor Morris’s church. We then had the pleasure of leading around 160 kids. We sang songs, shared a Bible story and asked if any kids wanted to give their hearts to Jesus. We had three teenagers then receive Christ with Pastor Morris. He now is able to shepherd those three new believers. We gave each of the kids a frame and some Crayons and then took a Polaroid picture of each child. Their faces lit up when we gave them their pictures. How many of those children have never received a picture of themselves? Such joy!! The joy then continued when we fed them rice and beans and gave them something to drink. It has been a pleasure to serve alongside the church in Haiti to advance the kingdom for His glory.

We cherish your prayers,

Team Haiti
