The Countdown Today we woke up with a bittersweet feeling because it was our last day of ministry in Rome....
Saturday was our last full day in Quebec. And another full day it was. We headed back to the warehouse where the180 church meets and spent a few hours wrapping up the projects we had started. One project was building a floor-to-ceiling tree at the entrance to their new kids area. It was fun to bring Bev’s vision into a reality. We also added a huge knot that will contain surprise goodies for the children. That should be a real hit!
We then went to a local park where our team, along with a group from the180, participated in a summer community festival with dozens of area businesses. Roughly $31,000 was raised for Alzheimer’s research. The180 was the only church represented. It is common for our Woodside campuses to be involved in community engagement, but here in Quebec, it is rare for a church to participate in community events. Such a joy it was to see our team strike up conversations with parents as their kids were getting their faces painted and then be introduced to someone from the180. Brokering relationships…ultimately the heart of evangelism. Introducing strangers to the God who loves them. It was a privilege to join our brothers and sisters in this high calling. What a beautiful day indeed!
Please pray for safe travels as we return on Sunday,
