It has been an incredibly amazing experience. It’s hard to believe a week has gone by already. Our journey will bring us back home by morning, happy to see our families, yet sad to have left. God orchestrated a team from America and Thailand that worked together wonderfully well for God’s glory!
We flew at 38,000 feet and stood at mountain tops. Carol Beaulac composed, “I feel like we can almost touch the hems of angels.” We gave our all and have been blessed and honored by the people of Thailand. It’s evident that nothing is impossible for Pastor John, Nut or their Pastors in Christ. They are making strong disciples, like themselves, following Jesus. Thinking how far and wide we have traveled and all that we have witnessed, I think of Paul’s words:
“…that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16 – 3:19 ESV)
God is working the soil of the hearts that were touched. This morning, the witch doctor from the animist village we visited on our second day, came with his people to see the Akha House of Lights Orphanage and the Bible Institute. The witch doctor has decided to allow his niece to come live there! Glory to God – He is moving mightily in Thailand!
This morning was all about and for the children at the orphanage. Pastor Akha John gave us a full tour of the Bible Institute then it was game time. Under the shade of this beautiful pavilion, we played all sorts of games. The kids won the volleyball match against the mission team, but it wasn’t easy! These are great kids who are so grateful for your love and support – they send their love to Woodside!
