Pastors & Staff

Doug Schmidt

DougSchmidt@woodsidebible.org

Pastor Doug grew up in Minnesota and met his wife Carolyn while in college. They have been married since 1974. They began their ministry here at Woodside in May of 1991. The Lord has blessed them with three children; Andy, married to Kate; Christy; and Teresa, married to Drew Steury. Their six grandchildren bring much joy and excitement to their lives! Pastor Doug holds college and seminary degrees including an EdD (Doctorate in Education). God has used his gifts and passion for teaching and preaching His Word, to minister to people here and around the world. He also encourages and mentors other pastors. Ask him what book he’s reading, and he’ll be able to tell you about a few. He also enjoys classic cars, hunting and playing golf – although he’d probably say his golf game is more about being outside and enjoying people versus birdies! If you are visiting Woodside or have never had the opportunity to meet Pastor Doug, please introduce yourself, he would enjoy meeting you.
