Ben Hixson

  • Position Family Ministry Pastor

Ben originally hails from Sandusky, Ohio. He believed the Gospel at a young age and God worked in his life through both his family and church. His time at Sandusky High School was pivotal in shaping him, while many different pressures fought for his allegiance. God eventually led him to pursue training to help others grow closer to God. He received his undergrad and master’s degree at Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA (now re-named Clarks Summit University). During that time, Ben worked at Skyview Ranch, served on the college ministry team, and interned at Cuyahoga Valley Church. In the summer of 2011, Ben married Ashton and came onboard with Woodside as the Pastor of Student Ministries at the White Lake campus. He likes athletics, candy, movies, stories, art and the season of autumn. Best way to contact Ben is to email him. Do It!!

Eric Fritts

  • Position Worship Arts Director

Eric Fritts has been at Woodside since birth…literally. He had diapers changed here and has changed diapers here. Eric met Christ at a young age through involved parents and youth leaders who showed him who God is, what worship is and what it’s like to serve and follow Jesus. After living a life of “freedom” while studying business/marketing at Alma College (’02), he came home and felt like although he knew in his head who God was, he didn’t know in his heart. Through serving with children and becoming more involved with the music ministry at Woodside, Eric began to see more people not just paying lip-service to Jesus, but actually walking in the Spirit. After rededicating his life to Christ and discovering what freedom in Christ really is, he began working with students and young adults at the Troy campus and came on staff in 2007. That year he met his wife, Liz and in 2009, God called them to the White Lake campus where they have been ever since. After having three girls, Eric and Liz are happily engrossed in princesses, ballroom dance parties and coloring books:) He leads the worship team on Sundays, disciples Neighborhood Group leaders and spends free time playing guitar, banjo and Candyland. He highly recommends letting his daughters do your hair.
