ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, run to them, cuddle them and say: "It's Christmas time, [child's name]! I ran to cuddle you like the shepherds ran to see baby Jesus when He was born!"

Drive Time

While on the go, take turns naming different ways the shepherds could have gone to see Jesus. The shepherds could have hopped, crawled, skipped, ridden a camel, etc. How did the shepherds go see Jesus? The shepherds were so excited they RAN to see Jesus!

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, thank You for giving Jesus to every person in the whole, wide world! Help us get excited about Jesus so we can go and tell everyone, everywhere that You love them and You gave them Your Son, Jesus!"

Bath Time

Add bubbles to bath time. Show your child how to scoop a small amount of bubbles and lay them on the edge of the tub to make pretend sheep. As your child makes sheep, say: "Shepherds are people who take care of sheep. God sent angels to tell shepherds that Jesus was born. The shepherds ran and found baby Jesus lying in a manger, just like the angels said."
