Happy Birthday, Jesus!
Luke 1:26-33, 38; 2:1-21

Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus' birthday and that God loves us so much He gave us Jesus.

“God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Merry Christmas, [child's name]! Guess what day it is! It's Christmas! And Christmas is Jesus' birthday! When I count to three, let's tell Jesus happy birthday! 1, 2, 3... Happy birthday, Jesus!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus every time you see a candle Christmas decoration.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, [child's name] and I have received so many wonderful gifts this Christmas. We are very thankful for all of them. But the gift we are MOST thankful for is Jesus. Thank You, God, for giving us Your Son Jesus to be our friend forever. Thank You for a time like Christmas where we can celebrate Jesus' birthday. Happy birthday, Jesus! We love You!"
 

Bath Time

Since it's Jesus' birthday, let's have a BIRTHDAY BATH this week! Decorate the bathroom with streamers, birthday banner, party hat, party horn...have fun with it! Make sure to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus while your child is in the tub. This will be one bath your child won't forget!
