Bible Story

The Wise Men
Matthew 2:1-2, 9-11

Wise men follow a special star to Jesus so they can worship Him and give Him gifts.

“God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Christmas may be over, but we can celebrate that God gave us Jesus any day, like the wise men did!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, look for star decorations. Say "God gave us Jesus!" every time you see a star. Talk about how wise men followed a special star all the way to where Jesus lived so they could worship Him and give Him gifts.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, help us make it feel like Christmas all year long by loving people the way You love us. We know loving others is the best way to celebrate that You gave Jesus!"
 

Bath Time

Cut a star out of a new sponge or add a toy star to bath time. Play a game where your child closes their eyes while you put the star somewhere visible in the bathroom. When your child opens their eyes, they have to look for the star. As you play, talk about how some wise men looked for a special star and followed it to Jesus so they could worship Him and give Him gifts.
