What picture comes to mind when you think about the church? If you’re like many in our culture, then it’s something far from perfect. This shouldn’t surprise us because the church is simply people and people are far from perfect. But, in the book of Acts we see a brief glimpse of what the church is meant to be and how she is meant to live. We see imperfect people living as a spiritual family on mission. We see a picture of commitment and community. It’s a picture of people with a shared faith, shared priorities, and shared practices. We want to learn from them. We want to live like them. And when we do, we will experience what they did as more and more imperfect people come to know a perfect Savior.
