Immanual Evangelical Church was founded in the West Bank in 1999. It has since grown to reach the surrounding people with the Good News and disciple them as they grow in spiritual maturity.
IEC reflects the love of Christ by providing for their community in times of conflict. They are especially known for housing and distributing food to those in desperate need.
The IEC is building a discipleship center that will be complete in 2024. The Immanual Discipleship Center will host 12 students at a time for accelerated Biblical training and hands-on ministry experience, mobilizing them to engage with unreached communities. The center will also be able to provide room and board for 200 people.
Pastor Nihad Salman is the senior pastor at IEC, founder of humanitarian relief organization Shepherd Society, and a professor at Bethlehem Bible College. He and his wife, Salwa, have three young adult children: Elias, Roseen, and Tarneen.
