Why Pray?

“In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen…” These are the closing words of many prayers we have heard or prayed before. We often pray in Jesus’ name, but do we really know how Jesus prayed? John 17 documents the longest prayer in Scripture—the High Priestly prayer of Jesus. By looking at His dialogue with the Father in Heaven, we begin to understand not only how to pray but also why we pray.
