kids
Woodside has an incredible kids ministry team across our campuses who are passionate and dedicated to cultivating enriching experiences for kids to learn what it means to be a little disciple of Jesus. From weekly programming, to camps and events, our kids ministry team has tons of exciting opportunties.
Kids ministry looks different across all of our campuses, be it rural, urban, or suburban, each offering a unique learning experience. students
Our student ministries are broken down into two categories: middle school (Oasis) and high school (Wake). Our student ministry team is a high energy group of men and women who are committed to serving our students with the desire to see them grow in their walks and embrace their identity in Jesus.
Through weekly programming, small groups, retreats, and campus-wide events, our team continually cultivates unique experiences for fellowship and growth. Each student ministry intern gets a unique development plan giving them the opportunity to gain experience and grow in specific areas. This could include but is not limited to setup for weekly programming, teaching, hosting, assimilating new participants, and discipling students.

young adults
Our young adult’s ministry, Collective, is a weekly gathering for young adults across the Metro Detroit area on Sunday nights. Every week young men and women have the opportunity to dive into God’s Word, worship, and find belonging in Christ-centered community. In addition to weekend gatherings, young adults can get plugged into small groups that meet in homes throughout the week.
Collective Young Adults interns have the unique opportunity to practice creativity and innovation as they organize and execute College Nights, assist in follow up with new people, and build relationships with college students within the ministry. They get to work alongside a team of other men and women who are passionate about spreading the love of Jesus to young adults. Taking personal interests and gifting into account, each intern works with the Collective team to create a custom development plan where they highlight specific projects and goals – all with the purpose of pushing individuals out of their comfort zone to reach their God-given potential.

Worship arts interns get practical training and hands-on experience at a designated campus where they are immersed in the community and serve in the music ministry by participating in things such as leading/co-leading, serving, planning, and supporting the worship arts team. In addition to assisting with weekly worship gatherings, worship arts interns also part-take in special intensives where they will learn about topics including:

outreach
At Woodside, our mission is to help people belong to Christ, grow in Christ, and reach the world for Christ. That is why we prioritize opportunties to reach people locally and around the world with the love of Jesus. As the Church, we are called to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12-16), and our Local & Global Missions team seeks to do just that.
This intern role is designed to support the vision, mission, and purpose of Woodside’s local and global mission’s department by supporting the communication and administrative needs and by helping connect the Woodside community to the transformational work happening on the field. Outreach interns get to learn about implementing innovative solutions and ideas for connecting the Woodside community to the work being done on the field, as well as assisting with strategies for providing encouragement and spiritual support to our local and global partners and sent missionaries.
There are also additional opportunties to gain outreach experience at a local level through interning at one of our specific campuses or with the Dream Centers of Michigan.

Pastoral ministry interns have the special opportunity to work closely with a campus pastor at one of our 15 locations. Pastoral interns will learn from one of our seasoned pastors about what it looks like to imitate Christ, managing and prioritizing healthy personal spiritual rhythms, shepherding others through congregational care, leading staff, and volunteer teams, writing and teaching sermons, and other unique learning opportunities.

Operations is a large umbrella at Woodside that entails everything from marketing and communications, stewardship, finance, administration, and worship production. Our various operations teams are what make ministry possible as they diligently seek to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12-16). The men and women who work on our operations teams beautifully display how each of us is equipped and gifted with unique interests and skills that can be used for Kingdom work.
