what's my next step?
There is nothing greater than belonging to God’s family when we put our faith in Jesus – and that’s just the beginning! God designed each of us to live in community and, as Christ-followers, to belong to the local church. It’s here we worship together, encourage one another, and shine Christ’s love to our communities. Together we become better equipped to accomplish our mission as followers of Jesus. Are you ready to take your next step at Woodside?
belong to Christ
The first step on your journey with Woodside is to understand who Jesus is and what He’s done for you. In Step 1, learn what it looks like to truly know God’s forgiveness. Hear the good news of the Gospel and come to understand the meaning of baptism in your faith.
belong to a church
If I’m already saved, why do I have to go to church? In Step 2, we’ll explore what the Bible has to say about the Church. About what it means to everyone who follows Jesus, and what it means to you. Learn what “membership” means at a church, and how you can choose to become a member of Woodside.
belong to a family
When we say family, we’re thinking more than flesh and blood. At Woodside, we are family and we invite everyone to be a part of it. In Step 3, learn what it looks like to be in a church family, a family of believers who know and love you just as you are.
belong to a team
1 Corinthians 12:12 tells us, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” In other words, our church is one body made up of all different parts, all different people with unique gifts and talents. In Step 4, figure out where you can use your God-given abilities and passions to serve at Woodside and in our communities.

Can I volunteer at Woodside without being a member?
There are many ways to get involved at Woodside before becoming a member. For the safety of those we’re serving, there are certain volunteer roles that do require membership. If you’re interested in volunteering with kids, students, or individuals with special needs, membership is required as part of our Child Protection Program (CPP) certification.
In Step 4 of the NextSteps Pathway, we’ll explore how you can use your God-given passions and abilities to serve others.
