The Akha Light Foundation

A Marginalized People

The Akha are an ethnic people scattered across small villages in the mountains of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and China. Often mocked with the nickname, hill people, they are faced by many geographical and economic challenges. In whichever country they reside, Akha are considered minorities and non-citizens. When you choose to support our Thailand missions, you’re bringing the Gospel to marginalized Akha men, women, and children across Southeast Asia.

Child Sponsorship

The House of Light Children’s Home is a safe haven for more than 60 at-risk Akha children. When you choose to sponsor one of these children, you’re providing them a home, opportunities to hear the Gospel, and resources to gain vital life skills. You can change the trajectory of a child’s life. What’s holding you back?

Biblical Training

Through the Akha Light Bible Institute, at least 50 young men and women across Southeast Asia receive seminary training every year. Graduates become ambassadors for the Gospel as they’re mobilized to plant churches in the unreached regions of Thailand and the surrounding countries.
