What is Human Trafficking? Bondage. Have you experienced it? For many of us the answer is no. However, the numbers are growing significantly each year. Human Trafficking is today’s modern form of bondage. Thousands of young girls and boys around the world are taken and sex trafficked against their will, even in the United States! They are often beaten and starved, forced to work as prostitutes or take migrant jobs with little or no pay. This is happening in your schools, neighborhoods, and sometimes even across the street from your home! So what will you do about this?

Did You Know? 27 million people are enslaved in the world today, more than during the transatlantic slave trade. More than 14,500 victims are trafficked each year into the U.S. from other countries! The average age of a trafficked victim in the U.S. is 12-14 years old for girls and 11-13 years old for boys. 450,000 children are reported missing in the U.S. each year (1,200 a day)! 1 in 3 teens who run away are lured into the sex trade within 48 hours – 150,000 new children a year. 80% of all trafficked individuals are female victims, 50% are kids! 70% of the female victims are trafficked for sexual exploitation.
