Middle School Ministry (Oasis) and High School Ministry (Wake) meets weekly from Sept-May. Visit your campus page for specific days and times. We gather for worship, games, preaching and prayer. During this time we also break into small groups based on grade and gender for greater opportunity to dive deep into discussion, open up the Bible, and encourage and pray for one another.
You can come on a Sunday night to the visitor desk and we will connect you with a small group and your leaders!
Small groups are broken down by gender and grade. During this time we also break into small groups based on grade and gender for greater opportunity to dive deep into discussion, open up the Bible, and encourage and pray for one another.
There are two small group leaders in each and every small group to provide care, leadership, prayer and facilitate discussion with the students. Our leaders are all required to go through a Child Protection Program before serving with students. This allows us to do our best to provide a safe place for students to gather and belong.
Our annual retreats take place up at Timber Wolf Lake Lodge in Lake City, MI. We spend a Friday evening to Sunday evening together with the rest of our Woodside Campuses Student Ministries for a powerful weekend of worship, teaching and community. Our high school students get to experience it in late October with the beautiful Michigan fall colors, while our middle school students experience it in all its glory in the winter!
Locally, middle school and high school students have the opportunity to serve during Hope Week, a week-long summer mission trip that takes place mid-July. Students have the opportunity to serve the communities surrounding Woodside in Pontiac, Detroit, Dearborn and the greater metro Detroit area.
Globally, high school students have partnered with and sent teams to places like Mission of Hope Haiti, Thailand, Cran-Hill, Barnabas and more!
