Conflict[ed]: Pursuing Peace in a Cancel Culture

Conflicted: Part 5- The Absurdity of the Unforgiving Christian

As much as we wish it wasn’t true, conflict is inevitable. It shows up in every nook and cranny of our lives. Does a week, or even a day, go by in which we do not experience the trouble conflict produces? And while the reach of conflict seems to be ever-expanding, our ability to resolve it seems to be ever-disappearing. The popular approach is to simply cancel whoever or whatever we disagree with. The promise of this flawed strategy is self-protection, but we still end up deeply wounded.
In “Conflict[ed]: Pursuing Peace in a Cancel Culture,” we’ll turn to the Gospel of Matthew to see how Jesus tells us to handle conflict. And His way produces a far superior result – peace. In this series, we’ll be challenged to pursue peace in a culture that only knows how to cancel.
